One person injured in grain elevator explosion in Mountain Home
MOUNTAIN HOME, Idaho (CBS2) — One person was injured Tuesday night after a grain elevator explosion in Mountain Home.
The Elmore County Sheriff's Office said that the explosion happened at the Simplot grain storage facility northwest of Mountain Home. The explosion led to a fire that was contained and extinguished by the Mountain Home Fire Department.
The cause of the explosion, according to ECSO, was related to an industrial accident that happened during normal maintenance operations.
The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries, but was taken to a Boise-area hospital.
