Fontaine is one of the most anticipated regions in Genshin Impact, and it is the home of the Hydro Archon, also known as the God of Justice. As per the leaks, the nation values law and order and has a sophisticated culture and technology, and many fans are eager to explore Fontaine and meet its new characters and quests.

Since HoYoverse has not released many details about Fontaine, the only way to get some clues about it is through leaks and rumors, and you can find everything we know about it below.

July 3 Update: HoYoverse has released Overture Teaser: The Final Feast showcasing all the characters coming to Genshin Impact 4.0 update along with new enemies.

Genshin Impact 4.0 update will bring Lynette (4-star), Freminet (4-star), and Lyney (5-star).

June 23 Update: HoYoverse has revealed the first look at Fontaine locations and its under water exploration.

Genshin Impact Fontaine Release Date

As per the leaks, Fontaine is expected to be introduced to Genshin Impact alongside the 4.0 update. The exact release date of Genshin Impact 4.0 has not been announced yet; however, based on the current patch schedule, it is expected to be out on August 16.

Fontaine New Characters and Leaks

As per the leaks, Fontaine will have a twin-city concept, with one city above the water and another one below it. The underwater city will be accessible through diving or using special devices. In addition to this, it will have a legal system that will affect the quests and events in the region. The player will have to deal with different laws and regulations, as well as face trials and judgments from the Hydro Archon.

Wriothesley

A Hydro Catalyst user who is rumored to be a descendant of a noble family in Fontaine. He has a refined appearance and personality and wears a blue coat with gold accents. He also has a monocle and a pocket watch as accessories.

Lyney and Lynette

Twin siblings who can switch elements between Hydro and Pyro. They are said to be part of a circus troupe in Fontaine, and have a cheerful and lively demeanor. They wear matching outfits with red and blue colors, and have animal ears and tails.
